As we begin a new school year, the HGES PTO looks forward to working alongside our administration, teachers, staff, parents, and community to continue making Hickory Grove an exceptional place to learn and grow. While we celebrate the completion of the Outdoor Learning Center, our work doesn’t stop there. Throughout the year, we’ll gather ideas, identify opportunities, and begin planning future improvements that will enhance the school experience for every student. Together, we can continue building on the strong foundation that makes HGES such a special place for our Hawks.

“Because Not Every Classroom Has Four Walls”

The HGES PTO was proud to partner with Hickory Grove Elementary administration, staff, and our dedicated volunteers to bring the Outdoor Learning Center to life. What began as a vision from HGES teachers and student leaders has grown into a beautiful, permanent outdoor learning space that will benefit students for years to come.

Now complete, the Outdoor Learning Center provides endless opportunities for hands-on learning, exploration, creativity, and collaboration. From outdoor classrooms and learning stations to the stage and amphitheater, this unique space encourages students to connect with nature while enhancing their educational experience beyond the traditional classroom.

The completion of this multi-year project marks an exciting milestone for our school and would not have been possible without the generosity of our families, community partners, sponsors, and volunteers. Thank you to everyone who supported this vision and helped make it a reality.
